Padel in four rules

Think tennis, shrunk and put in a glass box. Underarm serves, shorter rallies, and a wall that gives you a second chance.

Top-down, 20 by 10 metresServe underarm, cross-court
01

Serve underarm

Bounce the ball, hit it below your waist, and aim cross-court into the opposite service box. Two attempts, like tennis.

02

Let it bounce once

After a serve the ball must bounce on the floor first. From then on you can hit it in the air or after one bounce.

03

The glass is in play

Let the ball come off the back wall and hit it on the rebound. The glass is not a fault. It is the whole point.

04

Two against two

Four players, tennis scoring, best of three sets. Rackets are solid, short and forgiving, so a first rally takes minutes, not months.
