Accessibility
Accessibility statement.
We want everyone to be able to look at, configure and ask about a garden room. This page says honestly where we are.
This is a demonstration website made by Kirosconsult. It aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have not had it audited by an outside body.
What we checked
- Every page has one main heading, a skip link and a logical heading order.
- You can use the whole site, including the room configurator, with a keyboard. Focus is always visible.
- Text meets 4.5:1 contrast (3:1 for large text) in both the light and the dark theme. The theme button remembers your choice.
- Buttons and links have a target of at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Form fields have visible labels. Errors appear next to the field and are announced to screen readers.
- The configurator announces the changed price, size and planning result in a polite live region.
- If you ask your device to reduce motion, the dusk-to-morning scene, scroll reveals and animated prices all switch off.
- Every image and drawing has a text alternative.
Known gaps
- The room drawings are pictures made with code. Their text alternatives describe the choices made, not every line of the drawing. The same facts are in the text and price summary beside them.
- The hero scene is decorative. The words in it are also present as normal page text.
- The drag sliders in the configurator can be changed with arrow keys but the step is 0.1 m, so large changes take several presses. You can pick a ready-made model instead.
- We have tested with a small number of screen readers and browsers, not all of them.
