What is going on

You are not imagining it. The sleep, the fog, the temper that is not yours, the periods that will not behave. Something is changing, and it has a name.

51

is the average age of menopause in the UK. Perimenopause, the years before, can begin in your early 40s.

45

is the line for early menopause. Before it, symptoms deserve a proper investigation, not reassurance.

10

minutes is a standard GP slot. Your first appointment here is 45, with the same doctor throughout.

How it works

Your first year, by season.

No rush, no jargon, and every price named before you book.

AutumnWeek 0

We listen

A 45-minute consultation with one doctor. Bring your Symptom Diary. We start with your story, not a checklist, and you leave with a written summary of what we heard and what we suggest.

Initial consultation, £245

WinterWeeks 1 to 2

We look closer

If your doctor thinks blood tests are clinically needed, we arrange them. Many women over 45 with typical symptoms do not need them: NICE guideline NG23 says the picture can be clear without. You only pay for what is needed.

Blood tests if needed, £95

SpringWeeks 3 to 6

We agree a plan

A 20-minute follow-up to talk through your options, hormonal and non-hormonal, alongside lifestyle and talking support. Benefits and risks are explained plainly, and the decision is yours.

Follow-up, £145

SummerMonth 12

We keep tending

A yearly review of how you are, what has changed, and whether your plan still fits. You can come back sooner whenever something shifts, and your doctor will write to your GP if you ask.

Annual review, £195

Symptom Diary

Start tonight. Four questions, one flower.

Score how each has been over the last two weeks. The flower grows with your symptoms, and the full diary turns it into questions to bring to your appointment.

Why women come to us

Care that starts with listening.

  1. One doctor, every time

You meet your doctor at the first appointment and see the same person after that. No retelling your story.

  2. A written plan

You leave with a summary of your symptoms and the options discussed, which you can share with your GP.

  3. Honest about the evidence

We follow NICE guideline NG23, and we tell you what is well known, what is not, and what the risks are.

  4. Fees on the page

Every price is published on our fees page. If something is not needed, it is not on your bill.

In their words

Patient comments

I had been to my GP four times in two years. In forty-five minutes someone finally put it all together.
Alison, 52, Stockport
She asked about my sleep before she asked about my periods. That told me she was listening.
Joanne, 47, Altrincham
A video appointment from my kitchen on a Tuesday evening made it possible at all.

Questions

What women ask before they book.

Not here? Call 0161 496 0142 and a member of the team will talk it through. There is no charge for asking.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. You can book directly. If you would like us to, we will write to your GP after your appointment, with your consent, so your records stay in step.

Can I see a doctor by video if I live outside Manchester?

Yes. Video consultations are available anywhere in the UK, including evenings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They last as long as in-person appointments and cost the same.

Will I need blood tests?

Often not. NICE guideline NG23 says that for women over 45 with typical symptoms, perimenopause or menopause can be diagnosed from the symptoms alone. Your doctor will only suggest blood tests when they are clinically useful, for example if you are under 45.

What happens about prescriptions?

If your doctor recommends a prescribed treatment, they issue a private prescription to the pharmacy of your choice. We charge no prescription fee. The pharmacy sets its own charge for dispensing, and we cannot tell you that price in advance.

I am under 45. Can you still help?

Yes. We see women from 35 who have symptoms or whose periods have changed. Menopause before 45 is called early menopause, and it is worth a proper investigation and a plan.

What if I need to cancel?

Free up to 48 hours before your appointment. Inside 48 hours we keep half the fee. We always refund in full if we have to cancel.

Low winter sun over bare trees and green fields in the early afternoon

Our approach follows NICE guideline NG23, Menopause: identification and management. Treatment, where it is right for you, is a decision made with your doctor after benefits and risks have been explained.

Your second spring can begin with one conversation.
