Clinicians

The people you will see.

Four clinicians, all registered, all with years of menopause practice. You will see the same doctor from your first consultation onwards.

Our clinicians

Dr Imogen Ashby

Founder and lead doctor

GP for 17 years before founding Second Spring. BMS accredited menopause specialist. Imogen set up the clinic after hearing the same story too many times: a woman in her mid-40s, told it was stress, with a fortnight of notes in her bag. She is happiest when a patient arrives with a diary.

How we work

Three promises to every patient.

We listen first

Your doctor reads your Symptom Diary before you arrive, and the first ten minutes are yours to talk.

We explain the evidence

We follow NICE guideline NG23. We say what is known, what is uncertain, and what the risks are, in plain language.

We keep you in charge

Nothing happens without your agreement. If another route suits you better, including the NHS, we will say so.

Regulation and standards

Registered, inspected, accountable.

Second Spring Clinic is registered with the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of health care in England. Our doctors are registered with the General Medical Council and our nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Our menopause specialists hold British Menopause Society accreditation. We take complaints seriously: write to the clinic manager at hello@example.co.uk, and we will reply within five working days. If you remain unhappy, you can contact the Independent Sector Complaints Adjudication Service.
