Accessibility statement.
We want everyone to be able to use this website. This is what we aimed for, what we checked and what we know is not perfect yet.
This statement applies to this demonstration website for Atelier Nove, a fictional clinic. It was last reviewed on 2 October 2026.
Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The site has not had a formal third-party audit, so we describe it as designed to that standard rather than certified to it.
What we checked
- Keyboard. Every link, button, form field and the interactive face portrait can be used without a mouse, with visible focus rings and a skip link on every page.
- Screen readers. Headings run in order with one main heading per page. Form fields have labels, errors appear next to the field and are announced, and the area panel announces what is showing.
- Colour and contrast. Text meets 4.5 to 1, and large text and interface outlines meet 3 to 1, in both the light and the dark theme. You can switch themes with the button in the header.
- Zoom and small screens. The layout reflows down to a 320 pixel width and at 200 per cent zoom without sideways scrolling.
- Motion. If your device asks for reduced motion, all drawing, sliding and scrolling effects are switched off. Nothing flashes.
- Without JavaScript. Every page can still be read and every treatment can be seen. The booking form needs JavaScript to show live times, and says so.
- Touch targets. Buttons and links are at least 44 by 44 pixels where they stand alone.
Known limitations
- The face portrait on the home page can be pointed at with a mouse or touch. The same seven areas are offered as a list of buttons beside it, and that list is the accessible route.
- Illustrations on the home page are decorative. Where they carry meaning, the same information is in the text beside them.
- The booking form is a demonstration. It does not send, store or take payment for anything.
- Registration numbers and the company number are placeholders for a fictional clinic.
