Accessibility statement.

We want everyone to be able to use this site. This page says what we aimed for, what we checked and where it still falls short.

Our aim

This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. It is a demonstration site for a fictional business, built by Kirosconsult, and this statement was prepared on 2 October 2026.

What we checked

  • Every page works with the keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring and a skip link to the main content.
  • Text and interface colours were checked against contrast targets (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and controls) in both the light and the dark theme.
  • Headings run in order with one main heading per page, and every image or illustration has a text alternative or is hidden as decoration.
  • Form fields have labels and show their error messages next to the field. Results of the grant checker and roof sizer are announced to screen readers.
  • Pages reflow without sideways scrolling from 360 pixels wide, and touch targets are at least 44 pixels.
  • If your device asks for reduced motion, animation and scroll-linked effects are switched off, and the hero house changes with a button instead.
  • Light and dark themes follow your device setting, and you can change them with the button in the header.

Known gaps

  • We checked with automated tools and by hand, but have not tested with a full range of screen readers, magnifiers or voice control software.
  • The thermal house illustration on the home page is a picture with a text description. The temperature readout when you point at it is a visual extra and is not read aloud.
  • The lender widget is a placeholder in this demo.
  • Downloads and documents are not part of this demo.
